| Williams shares some run defense blame Safety Roy Williams won't argue the Cowboys defense played below its potential in last Sunday's 28-27 win over Detroit, allowing a season-high 152 yards rushing and three rushing touchdowns against the Lions' bottom-ranked rushing attack. Williams even shouldered some of the blame for the Lions' running success, which included T.J. Duckett's 32-yard touchdown run on an opening drive that produced 63 yards on the ground. "Yes, we got gashed," Williams said. "Maybe there were one or two players out of position and that's it. You know what, I was out of position. How about that? Let's put it on me. I was out of position. They got a touchdown and they got a couple of big runs. Sue me." But Williams doesn't believe the Cowboys' recent struggles against the run are becoming a pattern. "We know we have some things to work on," Williams said. "We know we have to stop the run, but we still haven't yet had somebody rush for over 100 yards on us. Let's not blow something out of proportion that really shouldn't even be tried to be blown up." Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart said it's a matter of making tackles and getting players in the right position to stop runs. DallasCowboys.com - News
