Maybe Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was firing a preemptive strike on Monday when asked about Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett possibly becoming a hot head coaching commodity this time of year with colleges looking for new guys and the NFL teams certain to be shaking out the bushes.
For when asked about Garrett, Jones said with a smile, "But I went a long way out of the way to get him," sort of insinuating he's not too concerned about losing his first-year coordinator.
