You know, now I know. It's the genes, just got to be the genes. Because me, I know I couldn't have done it. No way. Not in a million years. Could not have sat in the press box so stoically, devoid of emotion watching my son quarterback the Dallas Cowboys against the Green Bay Packers, the home state team worshipped for so many years, in a game of this magnitude.
But there they were, just a couple of seats down from me in the press box, Ramiro and Joan Romo, watching son Tony quarterback the Dallas Cowboys in virtual silence, so composed, so analytical, so virtually anonymous - so very far removed from any sort of celebrity parents. Two very humble and wholesome people.
Never once did they cheer. Oh, Ramiro pounded the counter a time or two, not in excitement, though, just the intensity he watched the game with sort of leaking out. You could nearly here their stomachs grind.

"He's(Romo) a natural competitor," Garrett said. "He just keeps playing. Just regroups and keeps playing. That's a good quality for a quarterback to have."
You bet. And you know what? I now have a sneaky suspicion where he gets that quality from.
