| Cowboys want a December to remember The Cowboys enter the final month of the regular season with the best record in the NFC after Thursday's 37-27 win against Green Bay. With four games left, the 11-1 Cowboys have clinched a playoff spot, all but sewn up the NFC East title and hold the home-field advantage edge over the Packers. But December has not been kind to the Cowboys the last four seasons. Since 2003, the Cowboys are 8-11 in the final month, and possible division titles, first-round byes and/or wild-card chances fizzled with late-season fades. "We've tried to let go of the past, but one thing we've done since I've been here is just falter," James said. "We've nose-dived in December. Whatever the excuses have been or the reasons have been, that's what's happened. This year, we're going to try to do our part and not allow that to happen. We can't nose-dive in December and try to end up where we want to go." It won't be an easy December. Three of the final four games are on the road (Dec. 9 at Detroit, Dec. 22 at Carolina and Dec. 30 at Washington).
