Where does Terrell Owens rank in Dallas receiver history?

Dallas has had some great ones over the years...starting with Frank Clark who had the record TO tied for touchdowns in a season with 14... Bullet Bob Hayes, Lance Rentzel, Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Michael Irvin...etc...

So where does TO rank among this crowd?

Come on, Quality. He's already tied Clark's record. I'd say he's already in their company at least. The season's not over yet. He and Romo have a ways to go. Next year they should break even more records. They are getting better all the time.
Problem is I dont see how Goth can be sold on TO and not Romo. They are on their way to being one of the best qb and receiver duos in the league. This is only their second year, and only their first with a healthy TO

Cool Re: Where does Terrell Owens rank in Dallas receiver history?

Owens would be the best if he didn't keep dropping balls. Drew Pearson NEVER dropped a ball.

I personally think that TO is a great receiver, but he is not ready to be an all time Cowboy great yet. He needs a few more years in a Dallas jersey.

To me, it would be like Derek Jeter going to the Angels. He would still be a great player, but would not rank on their all time list.

TO has his head up his ass to much.... he's good and he knows it, nothin wrong with that, except he seems to know nothing of humility. Last year the Cowboys fans were puttin up Romos number in the Honor ring and said he appreciated it, but didn't believe he was ready for that honor. TO probably believes otherwise on his career. Don't get me wrong, he has made great strides this year, but, he has a long way to go.

Drew Pearson, bless his clutch performing heart, never had 13 and 14 touchdown seasons either...

Re: Where does Terrell Owens rank in Dallas receiver history?

TO is playing ball and finally having fun doing it. It has taken some time for him to find his groove and he has finally done that. Week end and week out he contributes to a winning team and is a vital part of that teams winning. I think that is all he wanted in the past and too many people jumped on the band wagon that he had an attitude. He displayed what people expected to rebuke the system.
TO is an awsome player, he will be awsome and should be looked at today as even better than most becasue of what he has had to overcome to prove himself as a great player. My hat is off to him, hope he continues to break records and wins the soles of the non-belivers.
Go Boys....

See I am with you on the RR...but how does he rate against the all-time great Cowboys?
