Jason Witten didn't want to provide any bulletin-board material in Green Bay, so the Dallas Cowboys tight end chose his words carefully.
He talked about "opportunities" and "challenges."
It didn't take a football genius to read between the lines. Witten knows the Packers have had a hard time containing the better tight ends in the NFL, and Witten is one of the best.
"There are some opportunities there and some tight ends have had big games against them," Witten said. "Hopefully, I can come up big for us."
"It's special," Witten said of the showdown. "You want to say all the right things and say it's just another game, but this is what we've been waiting for, this opportunity. Obviously a lot of guys have energy. It is different, definitely. There's a lot of excitement."
