| New look special teams shows improvement Special teams captain Keith Davis vowed the Cowboys would shore up their recent coverage problems this week against dangerous Jets return specialist Leon Washington, who has three kickoff returns for touchdowns this season. Apparently, Davis' confidence was right on the money as the Cowboys handled the Jets on both punt and kickoff returns in Thursday's 34-3 Thanksgiving Day win at Texas Stadium. But it was more than just better tackling. The Cowboys showed a new look on the kickoff team. Instead of the traditional lineup where the entire team is spread from sideline to sideline before kickoff, the entire unit bunched around kicker Nick Folk and took off down the field from that formation. The idea is to begin the play in a more jumbled look, making it harder for the return team to locate their blocking assignments. DallasCowboys.com - News
