| Cowboys news and notes Cowboys wide receiver Terry Glenn still has a long road ahead before he's able to return to practice following Sept. 13 arthroscopic knee surgery, but he has begun running outdoors - a positive step toward his goal of potentially returning this season. Tony Romo and Terrell Owens had relatively quiet Thanksgiving Day performances by their standards, but the Cowboys' quarterback-receiver tandem each came closer to breaking a respective franchise record. Romo's two touchdown passes against the Jets tied Danny White's single-season touchdown record of 29, set in 1983. His 22-yard touchdown throw to Terrell Owens in the fourth quarter increased Owens' season total to 13, one shy of Frank Clarke's 45-year-old record of 14. With starting receiver Patrick Crayton inactive against the Jets, second-year receiver Sam Hurd started for the first time this season. Although only targeted twice, catching one ball for eight yards, Hurd, along with fellow second-year receiver Mile Austin, who finished with two catches for 30 yards, attracted enough attention from the defense to keep them from completely keying on Terrell Owens.
