| While this game might be remembered for Washington quarterback Jason Campbell throwing for a career-high 348 yards against the Cowboys' defense, this Cowboys' victory would not have been possible if not for Newman's pick and a couple of big plays by Cowboys outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware. But Newman's pick might not have ever materialized into a game-saving play if not for a couple of huge plays by Ware much earlier in the game. And good thing they were early, because he was tuckered out by the end. "I was so tired . . . I had snot running in my nose and I knew I wasn't going to get to Campbell," Ware said of that game-changing possession. "So I saw Terence Newman get that interception and that's a big thing for the cornerback corps, knowing that we get just a little bit of pressure on Campbell and it creates interceptions for them." Ware had two plays in the second half to keep Dallas in the game - the first a sack causing a fumble the Cowboys recovered and the second a near sack resulting in an intentional grounding penalty. The sack was Ware's ninth of the year, tying him for first in the NFC, just 2½ short of last year's career high. But Ware said that sack didn't come easy. All game he was battling Samuels, a task that wore Ware out. Ware received two IV's from the training staff following the game after cramping badly in the fourth quarter. "That guy's a beast," Ware said. "I'm not even going to lie; he's one of the best tackles I've ever faced." "DeMarcus played another fantastic game," Phillips said. "He's an all-star player - no doubt about it." And there's no doubt that Sunday's game would have ended differently without the star-quality play from Ware and Newman, no matter how obscured their efforts might have become.
