What he didn't know was his first botched snap, with the offense in scoring position at the Washington Redskins' 30-yard line, literally struck his $67.5 million quarterback in the face and bounced into running back Julius Jones' arms. Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said he never considered abandoning the shotgun formation despite Gurode's early struggles. "I think we were confident that we could get it rectified," Garrett said. Gurode settled down in the second half, and Romo continued using the shotgun throughout the offense's 21-point spurt over the final two quarters. DallasCowboys.com - News
