Washington Redskins cornerback Shawn Springs is at peace about his father's condition and believes he is now in a better place.Springs' father and ex-Cowboys running back Ron Springs remains in a coma at Medical City Dallas Hospital. Shawn Springs returns to see his father this week when the Redskins come to town to face the Cowboys on Sunday at Texas Stadium.
"I am a little bit more at peace about the situation," said Springs, in his 11th season. "I have accepted that my father is in a better place, and it was meant to be. I just have faith, but I am very real about the situation. Not many people have ever awaken from this type of coma."
Ex-Cowboy running back Ron Springs slipped into a coma on Oct. 12 following surgery to remove a cyst from his arm.
