| 1,000 attended Chaplain's funeral In August, John Weber wrote a poem entitled, Leaving a Legacy. It was a challenge to men to live righteously and leave a good name when they passed. As a throng of more than 1,000 who attended Weber's funeral at the First Baptist Church of Euless Tuesday will surely attest, the Cowboys team chaplain for nearly three decades left a lasting legacy. More than 75 current and former athletes attended the funeral. The list included current Cowboys Tony Romo, Bradie James, Andre Gurode, Terence Newman, Marion Barber, Chris Canty, Jason Witten, Leonard Davis, Mat McBriar, Flozell Adams, Anthony Fasano, Bobby Carpenter and Stephen Bowen. Among the former Cowboys in attendance were Jim Jeffcoat, Calvin Hill, Robert Newhouse, Darren Woodson, Chad Hennings, Raghib Ismail and Russell Maryland. Former Cowboys defensive end Kenyon Coleman, who signed with the New York Jets in the off-season, skipped practice Tuesday to fly back for Weber's funeral.
