| Kick returner Thompson replaced with Stanback Even before Wade Phillips decided to make Isaiah Stanback the kick returner Sunday at Philadelphia, the rookie wide receiver had started to make many people take notice. "He's been showing up in practice as a receiver," coach Wade Phillips said. "We wanted to try to get him to the game and see what he could do." Before the Eagles' game, Stanback had been active only once this season, at Buffalo, and he did not play. Looking to jolt a kick return game that had lagged the first seven games, the Cowboys replaced Tyson Thompson with Stanback.
