Suspicious eyes have been cast at the Cowboys' defense since the Giants rolled up 438 total yards and 35 points in the season opener.
This week, the unit has the chance to erase any lingering doubts.

Indeed, the Cowboys have risen to eighth in the NFL in total defense, fifth against the run, and a respectable 17th against the pass.
Meanwhile, the Giants may not be quite the offensive juggernaut that they looked like in the opener. Although explosive, New York's attack remains inconsistent – scoring 30-plus points three times since the opener, and having been held to less than 16 on three other occasions – and ranks a middling 15th in total offense.
