Cowboys vs.Giants

Cowboys travel to New York to face the 6-2 Giants. Giants are breathing down Dallas's neck for not only the division championship, but also the conference. So far, no one appears to be close to these two teams in the NFC. Cowboys rolled over Philly last Sunday, which was a contest that proved to be no contest at all. Giants beat the Dolphins the week before, which was the same.
Giants are getting better all the time. Eli continues to be more sure of himself.
If the Cowboys play as well as they did last week, I think they can beat the Giants. (Of course, I am prejudiced here) The problem is, which Cowboy team shows up this week?
Can they beat the Giants? Or not????

Re: Cowboys vs.Giants

Good news and bad news on the injury front.
Full back Oliver Hoyte back in
Rookie Isaiah Stanback is out
Terry Glenn is still out and progress is creeping along
Anthony Henry is closer to starting but probably not this week yet.
Safety Pat Watkins suffered a slight sprained ankle in the game against the Eagles and it kept him out of the last few drives in the 4th quarter, but he should play Sunday against the Giants.

Re: Cowboys vs.Giants

Even though the game is played at New York, the Cowboys are favored for this one.
This is a big game. Maybe not quite as big as when the two giants of the AFC clashed last week, but its the battle of the giants of the NFC. Dallas offense is the best in the NFC, but they have not faced a top rated defense except for the fiasco against patriots.

Re: Cowboys vs.Giants

Giants will be wearing their red alternative uniforms Sunday.
Probably not a good idea for the Giants, because isnt red the color of the flag matadors wave ahead of the bulls in Spain to make them charge?
Poor Eli. He is going to wonder what truck hit him this time.

As well they should...they are the better team. The Giants struggled to get past Miami recently and Dallas killed them even with a healthy Ronnie Brown and Trent Green. The Giants struggled to beat offesive back-ups.

Re: Cowboys vs.Giants

The Giants were playing on a terrible field. I doubt any team would have been putting up 35 points.

The Giants offensive line has been amazing this year so I don't think Eli will be running from anyone tomorrow afternoon. The Cowboys on the other hand, can they stop the Giants pass rush?

I think Romo can "avoid" the pass rush and hit the hot receiver, yes.

Re: Cowboys vs.Giants

They were good today as in my view they proved with this impressive win over my Giants that they are the best team in the NFC. They will have the honor of getting whipped by the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII most likely.

Re: Cowboys vs.Giants

WHO IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE NFC???????????????????
wHY I DO BELIEVE IT IS THE DALLAS COWBOYS!

AM I GOING TO GLOAT AND RUB IT IN???
OH YEAH, EVERY CHANCE I GET.

Too many penalties on the Dallas side. They have got to get that cleaned up. I was about to throw the baby's cake thru the tv screen.

Too bad but Tiny Tom would have looked really great in that Dallas star.

GO COWBOYS!!!!

Good thing i'm too new to have an avatar or i'd have the texas star as mine for about a month! Congrats on the win and IMO showing that the Cowboys are the best in the NFC. You will most likely be the NFC Champs and have the honor of being destroyed by the invincible Patriots in Super Bowl XLII!

I am so sorry my good man.
TO had 125 yards and 2 TD's, one a 25 yarder and the other 50. He now has 3 100 yard games in a row and 8 TD's and this is with one half of the season to go.
As for his so called "lack" of productivity in the past:
Tony Romo tells us that we pay too much attention to statistics. Even when he wasn't putting up big numbers in crucial situations, Romo said, T.O. drew double-coverage, which made life better for teammates, and he did the little things to help the Cowboys win.

Cool Re: Cowboys vs.Giants

The major difference between these two teams is the QB.

Romo is easily a top 10 QB while Manning is just mediore. He's still innacurate as hell and let his team get 3 delay penalties.
