| Redskins not the threat So much for the Redskins being a viable threat. They blow chunks. No, really, they are not good. After watching Skins coach Joe Gibbs and his crew fail to show in a 52-7 loss to New England on Sunday, a certain 48-27 Cowboys loss does not look so bad. In fact, it looks downright good. Certainly for their NFC East chances. Cowboys observers walk away from this bye weekend with an understanding that Dallas is closer to New England/Indy than to Washington/NYG. About the only bad Cowboy news from Sunday came from L.A. If People.com : The #1 Celebrity Site on the Web is to be believed, Tony Romo spent his bye week as a member of Brit's entourage. We were having this debate, sans Brit, in the Cowboys press box a couple of weeks ago. Who was the second best team in the NFC East? Was it the Giants or the Redskins? Quickly, a word on the Eagles, who obviously have been left out of this little debate despite them having been a rather gigantic pain in Cowboy rear ends in recent seasons. So, while Donovan and Co. have struggled this season, they still must be considered armed and dangerous.Gibbs has neither the defense to stop the Pats nor the offense to play with them. In other words, the Redskins are not as good as the Cowboys. Neither are the Giants, but they appear closer. In terms of threats, though, Brit has to rank No. 1. Somebody needs to keep this train wreck away from Romo. Immediately. Star-Telegram.com: | 10/29/2007 | Monday Musings: Redskins present no threat
