Cowboys captains take their role seriously

To the Cowboys' four captains, their jobs involve more than just calling heads or tails before the game.
Romo, Witten, James and Davis were voted captains by their teammates before the season. The title brings with it a leadership responsibility they don't shy away from.
Because they did not like the look, the Cowboys are one of the few teams that didn't stitch the 'C' onto the players' jerseys.
Wade Phillips relies more on the players to provide leadership than former coach Bill Parcells did.

Of course, Parcells was not tolerant of other leaders...his ego did not fit into Texas stadium. How dare the players look up to someone besides the BIG TUNA...
