The Cowboys may not be the league’s best but they are back to being the best television draw. The Cowboys-Patriots game was the highest-rated regular-season game on CBS since the network reacquired NFL rights in 1998.

This is a season-long theme. So far, the Cowboys have played in the highest-rated game on CBS, NBC and ESPN.

I'm not saying all but a good number of Cowboys fans are band wagon-types. When the Cowboys were losing a few years ago, they were hardly national TV draws. But now, they're winning and here you go.

Obviously, when any team wins they will be more productive in every way.

Whoaaaaa! I take exception here sir. When they lose, its not very profitable so national tv ignored them. That doesnt mean Cowboy fans werent following them. That's why I got the Sunday Ticket on Directv-----just so I could watch the Boys. If you are not able to do that, then you are stuck with what national tv gives you.

Here!...Here!...we suffered through the likes of Cater and Henson and Hutchinson, and a host of others at QB...how dare they say we are only fair weathered fans?...That's just America's Team envy...a real ugly thing if you ask me...

Because as a race fan (versus a driver fan) I understand your love for your team but ..... Todays society is more weighted to the fair weather fan. The national networks bend to the what/who is hot right now syndrome. NASCAR does the same and all other sports are in the same boat. There is money in popularity so most naturally they are not going to air games that have little following. I watch racing because I enjoy racing. You made a special effort to be able to watch your team at an extra cost. My point is that the world is full of fans, in every sport, that follow what/who is popular at the moment.

Considering what College I root for(especially football), I don't think I could be considered a fairweather fan. I could tell you about bein one since I live in Louisville and there are plenty of fairweather fans.
