Carter, the one-time starting quarterback in Dallas, was cut by the team after being suspended in 2004 for violation of the substance-abuse policy http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm I was wrong. I found the above in a thread vince had deleted because it was a double. His info was a little more accurate than mine. |

Yeah, seemed to remember that. If my memory serves, the Jets actually picked him up on the tail end of that suspension and needed to wait a week or two before he could play. Any way you slice it, the kid needs to get himself cleaned up or else he's headed for big-time trouble.

| Re: Former Cowboys QB arrested on drug charge I don't understand how ANY athlete could waste the opportunity to play at the professional level. I would give just about anything to have the talent to play professional ball and they just throw it away. |

| Re: Former Cowboys QB arrested on drug charge If you saw the interview he did with Andrea Kraemer(I think it was her) on Access, you just knew by the way he answered her questions that he wasnt going to make it. That was some time ago. And he didnt make it. |
