| Phillips Chalks up Romo's game as bad night IRVING, Texas - Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips usually makes it easy on himself when evaluating players. He simply goes by what he sees, and what he hasnt seen. And since he hadn't seen Tony Romo throw many interceptions, whether it was in practice, preseason or the first four regular-season games, he fully expected his quarterback to eventually find his way out of the funk he endured Monday night in Buffalo. Phillips said he never considering pulling Romo for veteran Brad Johnson. Romo finished 29-of-50 for 309 yards and two touchdowns, but threw five interceptions and lost a fumble."I just think he had a bad day. But I'll say this for him - at the end of the game, he was still in there." And that wasn't anything that Phillips ever thought about changing. DallasCowboys.com - News
