| Cowboys' Jones Now Leads NFL Network Committee Add another high-level post to Jerry Jones' dossier. The National Football League has appointed the Dallas Cowboys owner as chairman of the NFL Network Committee, the executive board of the league's year-round television service. "My immediate and primary objective is to ensure broad distribution of NFL Network to our millions of fans across the land," said Jones, joined on the powerful committee by Denver Broncos President Pat Bowlen, New England Patriots Chairman Robert Kraft, St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke and Carolina Panthers President Mark Richardson. "As a committee, we plan to help the broader NFL ownership harness the value that our clubs can provide locally to NFL Network distribution partners,'' Jones said. "NFL Network is extremely important to the future of the NFL and our fans." Is it ever, even for a league that essentially has a license to print money. The network shows eight regular-season games, making it a necessity for the football-obsessed . If anyone understands the power of branding it is the ever-present and never shy Jones, who has owned the Cowboys since 1989 and won three Super Bowl titles.
