| Cowboys vs. patriots Ever since I realized the Cowboys were going to be able to play real football this year, I have been looking forward to this game. Admittedly, mostly because of two very irritating mods on this forum. On Monday night against the Bills, the Cowboys' offense repeated just about every mistake they have ever made in the last couple of years. They still managed to win the game but whether it was because the Bills were so awful or because the Cowboys finally managed to pull it together as a team in bad times I dont know. My theory is Romo made all his interceptions against the Bills and from here on in it will be smooth sailing. I am kind of embarrassed about some of those passes the rookie quarterback made against the Dallas D. (Rookie looked pretty darn good by the way.) Up until Monday night against Buffalo, Dallas was ranked up there with the pats and the Colts. Two pass happy quarterbacks, two good defenses, and a couple of flashy ball hogging wideouts. Two darn good tight ends too. Dallas ate a large helping of humble pie against Buffalo. They didnt much care for the taste of it. Dallas will win, but not by much.

| Re: Cowboys vs. patriots Short Shots . Three former Cowboys kickers worked out for the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, including Billy Cundiff, Martin Gramatica and yes, Mike Vanderjagt . . . Romo gave up his NFC lead in QB rating after that five-interception performance, dropping from 112.9 to 93.9, good for fourth in the conference. Romo, though, still leads the NFC in average gain per attempt at 8.82, falling from 9.9, and in touchdown passes with 13, four more than Brett Favre and Eli Manning . . . The Cowboys still own the NFL's top-ranked offense, following closely by the No. 2 Patriots. |
