| Progress continues on New Stadium The skeleton of the Cowboys' new stadium is starting to take shape. Construction manager Jack Hill says the $1 billion stadium is about 38% completed. The most striking sign of progress is the near completion of first structural steel arch which spans the entire 1,290 foot length of the stadium. ![]() DallasCowboys.com - News

| Re: Progress continues on New Stadium Crews used a crane to move into place the final section on the massive first arch at the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, wearing a hard hat, was on hand Tuesday to give the order to lift the section at the site in Arlington. Now workers can concentrate on building the other arch. Each one will span about a quarter-mile. The one billion dollar domed stadium is scheduled to open for the 2009 season. The venue is expected to be the world's largest column-free room, with retractable roof panels. The new Cowboys complex will host the 2011 Super Bowl. | Re: Progress continues on New Stadium Outlined in red are the new stadium's club seats taking up the first 50 rows. The remainder of the 2007 season is sold out. The 2008 season, the last in Texas Stadium, is sold out. So now the Dallas Cowboys begin the transition into their new $1 billion stadium in Arlington, Texas, scheduled to open for the 2009 season. The club currently is mailing out letters to season ticketholders in the lower bowl at Texas Stadium with sideline seats from goal line to goal line, offering them a first-priority opportunity to purchase their reasonably comparable allocated seats at the new stadium. Season ticketholders wishing to opt out of their priority seat allocations for other seat locations in the new stadium will be placed on a waiting list. They will have a chance to purchase those new seat locations after all season ticketholders in those sections have had an opportunity to exercise their allocated purchasing rights. The Cowboys will also begin taking waiting-list deposits in December for those people without 2007 and 2008 season tickets wishing to purchase season tickets in the new stadium. This seat transition will be an arduous one, and that is why the Cowboys have not only begun the process more than 1½ years before the new stadium opens, but also have put in place a 53-person team dedicated to serving the season ticketholders. ![]() Naturally, when moving from the 36-year-old Texas Stadium costing $35 million into the 80,000-seat new stadium complete with a retractable roof and all the amenities expected in a $1 billion structure, ticket prices and seat licenses will increase. Every seat in the three-tiered club section for the 50 rows along both sidelines will be priced at $340 per game. Attached to each seat will be the required purchase of a seat option beginning at $16,000, which gives the season ticketholder the right to purchase that seat for 30 years. Seat license prices in the club-level sections will increase the closer the seats are to the 50-yard line, topping out at $50,000. "We want to emphasize financing options will be available," Estes said. Those season ticketholders purchasing club seats in the new stadium will have the first options to buy premium parking. Other amenities accompanying club-level seating include having the closest seats to the field, the roomiest and most cushioned seats, the right to use four private entrances to the stadium and the ability to utilize the 200,000 square feet of club space, which will include full bars and premium food service, lounge seating and state of the art television screens.
