Tony Romo made Pro Bowl after a 5 td performance again Tampa Bay on Thanksgiving, with no interceptions and one sack. The next 5 games produced 6 tds, 8 interceptions, and 13 sacks. Cowboys waited on an extension until they could see which Tony Romo they had.
He's doing great now and waiting much longer could cost the Cowboys more than if they would strike a deal now.
This is not as easy as it seems to be. If the deal doesnt make Romo close to the league's top 8 quarterbacks he may want to pass. If Romo wants top 5 money, the club may want to pass.
