Cowboys vs. Bears

Dallas faces its first real challenge this coming Sunday as they go to Chicago, when its high flying offense goes up against one of the toughest defenses in the league.
The words high powered offense and Dallas Cowboys are music to this fan's ears, let me tell you. But No. 54 on the other side of the ball gives me a bad pain. Have they come far enough to outplay that Chicago defense?
Then there's the Dallas D. Its too early to tell if Newman will be back but they could sure use him if Rex Grossman decides to show up and play. Dallas D. looked good last week, but I'm not sure if its because they improved or if the Dallas secondary showed just how bad the Miami offense really is. (Ouch! Did I really say that? Slap me upside the head Goth!)

Re: Cowboys vs. Bears

Coach Phillips is more optimistic than he's ever been about Newman returning after his injury.
Still, he remains a game-time decision.

Re: Cowboys vs. Bears

The Cowboys face the best defense from last season. The Bears also have been tough against the run this year. A victory over the Bears could give the Cowboys an early stake to the claim as the NFC east's best.

Romo threw for 329 yards and 2 TDs, while they Cowboys defense forced four turnovers. Impressive performance, no doubt about it.

Re: Cowboys vs. Bears

Dallas special teams kept Devin Hester to 28 yards for his longest return and best of all, no touchdowns.
TO moved to 14th place in the NFL for all time receptions. It also marked his 40th 100 yard game of his career.
Kicker Nick Folk is now 6/7 for the season, as a result of the blocked field goal before the half.
Spencer records his 1st sack.
Patrick Crayton makes no excuse for his dropped pass in the end zone. He said it had nothing to do with his pinky. He just dropped it.
Bad News Flozell Adams was responsible for most of the Cowboys' penalty woes. The left tackle was flagged for 2 offensive holding penalties, a false start and he got beat on the Cowboys first snap for a sack.

What is your take on Flozell, Quality. He really cost us in that game and its not the first time. Pat McQuistan is next on the depth chart and then Doug Free. Think there will be rumblings soon about Flozell?

Flozell probably just needs a come to jesus meeting... so to speak. He could be gettin it soon though if he don't shape up.

But Goth, every game I've watched his name comes up. It's always him.

I hope you're right. He creates some awful third and long sometimes. If it wasnt for Romo, whom you have no faith in anyway, Cowboys wouldnt have pulled out of the hole.
