| Cowboys New Stadium The Dallas Cowboys new stadium will be one of the finest in the world. Some facts: It will be the largest NFL venue ever built at 2.3 million square feet. The statue of Liberty and its base could fit into the stadium with the roof closed. It will be the largest domed structure in the world. Its interior volume will be 104 million cubic feet. (By comparison, Reliant Stadium in Houston is 90 million cubic feet.) Capacity up to 100,000 Retractable roof-the famous open roof design featured in Texas stadium will be carried over into the new stadium. Open-close time 12 minutes Glass retractable door at each end zone features a five leaf clear glass retractable door measuring 120 feet high and 180 feet wide making it the tallest moveable glass wall in the world. Parking will have 30,000 spaces available There will be 286 concession points and 1600 toilets. The Video board will stretch between the 20's ( a 60 yard span) Field is actually 50 feet below ground level. Cowboys Ring of Honor will be carried over to the new stadium. | Re: Cowboys New Stadium I couldn't imagine watcing a game with 100,000 other people. Could this be a little too big for an NFL team. I remember the Raiders complainnig about blackouts in the 80s because they couldn't fill up the Colliseum. |

| Re: Cowboys New Stadium Went looking out of curiosity and found this at NFL.com. NFL History by Decade "1994 - An all-time NFL record crowd of 112,376 attended the American Bowl game between Dallas and Houston in Mexico City. It concluded the biggest American Bowl series in NFL history with four games attracting a record 256,666 fans, August 15." So apparently there's been a 100,000-plus crowd at least once in NFL history.
