Rookie kicker Nick Folk has a good chance to win the kicking competition because Martin Gramatica is going to be out in the final preseason game with a sprained hamstring.
This should make Cowboy fans nervous, but not because of his talent, but because of his lack of experience. Big kicks? He has never done it, which doesnt mean he cant.
Bit if its a kick to win the NFC east in December on the road, its more comforting when the kicker has made big kicks in his career. Gramatica has done it. But he suffered a hamstring injury in pregame warm-up against Houston and missed on an extra point and struggled with his kickoffs.
That is the door of opportunity that Folk is about to walk thru.

Well, maybe the name will get him on the all Madden team...he likes things like that...might call him..."Common Folk"...as in your average kicker next door...
