The summer long calm that was shattered in Saturday wasnt over you-know-who or even a quarterback. The mighty Cowboys lost a preseason game.
Romo wasnt perfect, and the corners struggled. The defense got tagged for a 46 yard run. The Texans returned a punt 91 yards for a touchdown. There were penalties and bobbled snaps. You had to wonder how all this would affect the new staff and how they would react.
"Today will be a good day to see the attitude," said Tony Romo on Monday.
The attitude was calm, cool, and collected.
"So many people, media people, get caught up in the ups and downs,"Romo said. "But if people in here stay even keeled, its easier for you to." Romo and Phillips seem to have pulled it off. There were no signs of an uptight coach or quarterback.
This NFL is game to game, no one game a defining moment unless Game 16 means playoff or bust.
