| T.O. blames traffic for showing up late? Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens arrived late to Thursday morning's practice and missed the evening session. Owens blamed traffic problems for his tardiness. The Cowboys said Owens missed the second practice with the Broncos to rest his legs. Wide receiver Javon Walker and safety John Lynch were among several Broncos who were allowed to miss the afternoon practice. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Owens' tardiness and getting the afternoon practice off was no big deal. "Not a problem at all," Jones said. "He made three of [the two-a-day] practices. I don't have a problem at all with it by risking any type of pull. There's no gain here for us with him pushing through this practice here." Jones would not comment when asked if Owens was fined. According to the collective bargaining agreement, a player can be fined up to $1,531 for being late to practice. -- Dallas Morning News Owens late to practice, misses afternoon workout | Dallas Morning News | News for Dallas, Texas | SportsDay: Football: Cowboys |

| Re: T.O. blames traffic for showing up late? Careful guys, Gotham can sense when TO is being poked fun at and will be here shortly! I doubt he'll be dropping many passes this year now that the injuries healed. Between the white lines he's the second best reciever in football (Harrison #1 IMO) but off the field? Well... |

I wasnt poking fun at him nuke. I am an Owens' fan. Just thought I would get the alarm clock thing in there before someone else did. I dont think he will drop passes this year either. Its hard to hang on to the ball if youre hands are hurting. No, he doesnt have Harrison's class quite, and his off field antics while never illegal, are annoying. |
