here are a few Dallas Cowboys to consider for future classes of the Hall Of Fame

Emmitt Smith
(RB, 1990-2004) The all-time leading rusher with 18,355 yards, Smith played
13 seasons with Dallas and will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 2010. He earned four NFL rushing titles, one league MVP award, one Super Bowl MVP award and eight Pro Bowl selections.

Deion Sanders
(CB, 1989-2000, 2004-05) He redefined his position in his 14 NFL seasons, five with Dallas. He had 53 interceptions, returning nine for touchdowns, and 80 passes defensed. Prime Time, who scored nine more TDs as a kickoff and punt returner, will be eligible for the Hall in 2011.

Bob Hayes
(WR, 1965-75) He caught 371 passes for 7,414 yards and scored 71 touchdowns in 11 NFL seasons, averaging a team-record 20 yards per catch with the Cowboys. His speed revolutionized the game. Known as the "World's Fastest Human" after winning the gold medal in the 100-meter dash at the 1964 Olympic Games, he forced teams to make the zone defense a regular tactic. He reached the final six three years ago as a seniors candidate and probably will get another shot soon.

Larry Allen
(OL, 1994-2007) Considered one of the best offensive linemen in
NFL history entering his 14th season, he will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer after the mandatory five-year waiting period. After 12 seasons with the Cowboys, Allen joined the 49ers before last season and made his 11th Pro Bowl.

Charles Haley
(DL, 1986-96, 1999) Haley's biggest argument is the five Super Bowl titles he won -- three with the Cowboys and two with the 49ers. He holds the Super Bowl record for most sacks with 4.5, but he has not received serious Hall consideration. He went to five Pro Bowls in his 12 NFL seasons and had 100.5 sacks.

I'm surprised Bob Hayes isn't already there. He definitely should be.

Emmett, Deion and Larry definitely ought to make it too.

but I don't think Haley will .. nothing really distinguishable about his career except the 5 rings but that was mostly because he was in the right place at the right time. the 5 pro bowls are the indication of what could have been, but with less than 50% of his seasons resulting in pro bowl selection, he needs something else to boost him up .. it's just not there.

A definite yes to Emmitt and Hayes. A definite no to Haley. Allen and Sanders I'm struggling with. Deion was such an incomplete player - terrible against the run. But he was the very definition of a shut down corner in coverage. Seemed like QBs never wanted to test him. Allen was good for a lot of years. 11 Pro Bowls in 14 years, yeah, put him in. Tempted to say yes to Deion too, but his lack of run support does hurt him.
