Re: Cowboy Fans angry at Jones When he's out on the field catching TD after TD...they'll cheer and forget. Then if and/or when TO gets out of hand, they'll want him out. It's the circle of life in the NFL. My only question is, can Sam Madison cover TO? We all know Will Allen couldn't.

Parcells and Jones are definitely ON the same page. Parcells is only going to coach a year or 2 more. He wants to get to a SuperBowl and knows he's running out of time. He know's how great a player Owens is and will gladly take this risk. And if anybody can keep the guy under control, it's Parcells. And I don't want to hear the Cowboy fans crying about locker room chemistry. That is the most overrated aspect in professional sports today. In the late 70's, nobody on the Yankees could stand each other and they won 2 championships. This is a GREAT move for the Cowboys. I don't even know how anyone can question it.

| Re: Cowboy Fans angry at Jones It's a tough call. From a fans perspective, knowing what happened all those years ago, it's going to be strange. But honestly, the Cowboys need TO's deep threat, big play capabilities. Now, if they can shore up the O-line, and it looks like they are taking steps in that direction, then we could certainly see a championship team taking the field. The Cowboys aren't new to controversy or willingness to do what it takes to win. Look what the signing of Charles Haley did to that defense and the team back in the nineties.

T.o. will seperate the locker room just like he did to the eagles the year they could of went to the sb but he tore them apart. But theres no reasen to get mad at JONES. I will admit that parcells will keep T.O. in line. and if T.O. does anything stupid parcells will defenently boot him back to the free agents list

Re: Cowboy Fans angry at Jones Welcome to GoTeamsGo, j-rod, and thanks for joining us here in the Cowboys forum. I agree with you 100% on T.O. Terrible move to bring in an egomaniac like this, no matter how talented he is. Especially when you have a run-first offense, like Parcells runs in Dallas. By week 2 or 3, he'll be griping about not getting enough catches, I guarantee it.

Welcome to go teams go - j-rod. After having watched the Yankees in the 70's win 2 championships when no one could stand each other - I mean talk about a splintered locker room - I've come to the conclusion, that these locker room dynamics are overrated. And I have a feeling that TO is going to be a model citizen this year - just like Sprewell was in his first year with the Knicks.
