Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on Wednesday announced that the replacement for the retired Bill Parcells will not be named until after the Super Bowl. This has led to speculation that he's interested in Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera and Indianapolis Colts assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell. Think he has is eye on one of those two guys, and if so, which one? My money's on Rivera.

though, when i heard about him waiting to announce after the super bowl, the 1st thing that popped into my mind was hype

he knows if he announces now it will be lost in all the super bowl talk.......if he waits until a week after the game is over his announcement can be a big story

maybe thats not the reason, but its the 1st thing i thought of

It's important to remember that many Super Bowl-winning coaches had to endure failure before triumph. Just ask Bill Cowher, Dick Vermeil or Jon Gruden. As coach of the Raiders, Gruden was burned by the Tom Brady "tuck rule" play, which knocked Oakland out of the playoffs in January '02, before he finally won it all with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002-2003.

Is Phillips the perfect candidate? Far from it. Sure, it would be great for the Cowboys if Gruden, Cowher or Jeff Fisher were available, but they're not. It means Phillips is the lesser of all evils. And when you think about it, a 45-35 career record isn't really evil at all.

I hope Jerrry Jones names Norv Turner as the new Head Coach and names Rivera as the new Defensive Coordinator.....I think Dallas can convert back to the 4-3 and be one of the top defenses in the league in 2007.

Free Safety - I'm hopeing Pat Watkin's come's on strong and fill's the position,but i would draft a ballhawk just in case Watkin's is'nt the answer...it was his rookie year hopefully he'll improve with a year notched on his belt..i would still look for help in the secondary.We picked Tony Parrish from San Fran last year late,need to see more of him to form an opinion on his talent...the coaches will most likely get a good look at him in camp this spring.Strong-Safety Keith Davis is a special team's ace and is best suited as such.

Pass-Rusher - Ware need's a young speed-rushing book-end opposite of him, Greg Ellis is good but his age and health have to be accounted for.

270 lb free-Agent Defensive end/ Linebacker Adalius Thomas would be good pick-up if the Raven's let him fly away...but he will not be cheap and will be sought by a few team's other than the Cowboy's.

I would go after Thomas and pick up a young defensive end to groom for the future.

Right Offensive Guard- Marco Rivera was'nt dominating on the o-line and was'nt all that great imo...bring in a young guard to compete with second year Corey Procter,the Cowboy's picked a young Guard by the name of Joe Burger, he'll also get a look see in camp more than likely.

Defensive Back - TerrenceNewman and Henry are good db's but i would like to bring in some youth to compete and learn with Aaron Glenn...it's also a possibility that Anthony Henry could move to Free-Safety and the Cowboy's could go Defensive Back in the Draft or via Free-Agency.

Running Back- Julius Jones did'nt do it for me last year,yeah he got over the thousand yard mark...he was constantly running into pile's instead useing his vision to hit the hole or run to daylight,yeah some of it can be blamed on the offensive line..but certainly not all of it. Luv to see the Cowboy's find a diamond like the Colt's did in Joseph addai! Barber need's a better compliment than Julius Jones imho.
