Greatest Receiver in Cowboy History...

Here is an interesting article about the great receivers in Cowboy history. It has Irvin and Hayes up for the top spot...Pearson and Tony Hill somewhere under them...and calls little known Billy Parks as the best pair of hands ( Iactualyl have a football card of this guy...he had a big game in the playoffs against the 49ers)

Re: Greatest Receiver in Cowboy History...

Harper was a great #2 reciever but not a main guy. When he went to the Buccaneers to be the main target he flopped big time. Some guys are great second options and leave it at that like John Taylor or Peerless Price. Micheal Irvin holds the honor for greatest Cowboy WR and if he wasn't in such a run oriented offense his numbers would have been doubled.

But, Michael Irvin wasn't the best person off of the field.

No mention of Bob Hayes? Pearson was the best in my opinion.

If you read the article Hayes is all over it...the big thing on Hayes is that teams had to develop the zone defense to keep up with him...and he stretched the field so much, that the underneath passing game worked for Dallas.
