Cowboys vs. Saints

This should be a classic. On one hand, you've got the AFC West leading Saints, who one last week thanks largely to Reggie Bush's breakout 4 TD game. Meanwhile, the Cowboys improved to 8-4 on Sunday with a win over the Giants. Will the Saints defense be able to shut down Tony Romo, Terrell Owens and company, or are the Cowboys just too much for New Orleans?

Re: Cowboys vs. Saints

I've got the boyz in this showdown. I just don't believe that the saints will be able to establish any type of consistent running game against the cowboys front seven. If the saint want a shot at this one they will have to rely on the arm of drew brees which is a pretty good option to have but every game this cowboys secondary improves and i believe they are ready to just hold the saints to few enough passing yards to come away with the hard fought win. and I dont believe tony romo can be shut down in terms of yardage and first downs.

Cool Re: Cowboys vs. Saints

Welcome to GoteamsGo Sooner Fan. I was very surprised how the Saints just wiped the field up with the Cowboys. This quote from realfootbal365.com, pretty much sums it up:
Quote:
But then, the Saints hit the Cowboys so hard, so decisively, and so fast, that all I could think of was a "Looney Tunes" cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid. The Road Runner once whizzed by Wile E. Coyote so rapidly, that he stripped him of his fur; and the poor coyote was just left standing there, stunned - not knowing what hit him. And that's how the Cowboys looked, from the head coach to the waterboy.

Re: Cowboys vs. Saints

Last night's game was a first-class arse-whuppin, no doubt about it. I guess the Saints are for real. How do Romo and the Cowboys rebound?
