Parcells Replacement

Rumors are swirling about who will be Bill Parcells replacement if Parcells retures. The latest name is TN Titans Coach Jeff Fisher.

Quote:
Published reports have suggested that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is enamored with Fisher, who despite being just 48 years old is in his 12th full season as head coach of the Titans and 13th overall after taking over for the final six games of the 1994 season. The franchise was still the Houston Oilers then.

The Titans coach is used to dealing with rumors. Last season, there were reports that St. Louis and Houston were interested in Fisher. Now it's America's Team. He is in the last year of his contract with the Titans, although there is a team option for 2007.
Anybody like this idea? Who would you like to see as Parcells replacement as the next Cowboys head coach?

Re: Parcells Replacement

What makes everyone so sure this is Parcells last year as H/C? he him self said you can back
the hearse up to the door, but it doesn't mean I'm getting in it. We'll have Parcells around for
atleast next season, by then Fisher will have his next head coaching job, which means we'll
offer it to Jimmy and see if he wants to comeback, Try for Weis and see if Notre Dame lets
him out of his contract, Or wait for Belichick to get fired in New England

In a radical move I would have TO replace Parcells...figuring who better to listen and understan TO than TO...he could be a player coach, thus is job description would finally cath up to his ego...beats Fisher anyway...

Re: Parcells Replacement

Radical? hiring Fisher would be the dumbest move we've ever made, his teams are no good
he's had 1 super bowl appearence, since being named the Titans head coach, and since
then his teams have done nothing..If we are gonna hire another coach to replace Parcells
let it be someone who knows what the hell he is doing

Weis, Belichick or Jimmy Johnson would be the logical choices for head coaches in Dallas

Hate to break it do you, but not one of those guys has any interest whatsoever in coaching the Cowboys.

Re: Parcells Replacement

I would like to see Jimmy Johnson as the head coach again. He can return the Cowboys to greatness. Anything to get him off the pregame show.

Jimmy look's like he really enjoy's himself at Fox azrael492...Johnson love's the life style and the free time scubba-diving and fishing off his boat to come back to coaching imo, Jimmy had his chance to make a run with the Dolphin's.Would be a good choice would luv to JJ on the sideline's, just don't see JJ giving up the life style he seem's to have grown accustomed to these last few year's..dude is living his dream with three ring's in his pocket with cooler's of beer and the Florida sun.In my opinion JJ's made up a manlaw not return to the ax grind of coaching.

I think the Romo will be enough to lure Parcell's back for another year..barring any future health problem's.
