| Rowdy Removed
Rowdy, the Cowboys wild mascot, has been removed from the sidelines on game day.
Rowdy has been a part of Cowboys' history since 1996 and has made more than 300 appearances.
The man who has been Rowdy for the last dozen years, Ted Ovletrea, was notified in August that he was fired.
Rowdy was a bit, well, rowdy. His behavior was questionable at times. Once he was chastised by refs for a chest bump with Terrell Owens after a td, another he was kicked from the sidelines during a game, and Coach Parcells booted him out of training camp.
The Rowdy character will still be part of the team, but apparently not on gamedays. |
