Most Cowboy fans would really like to fire Jerry Jones, but thats not gonna happen.
Next best thing, Fire Wade Phillips.
He has had his chance and he just doesnt cut it.
First the Cowboys were the laughing stock of the league with Camp Cupcake. Guess he toughened up a bit, but not enough.
Look at the penalties Dallas has been getting. A well disciplined team does not get all those penalties. Flozell Adams is getting worse instead of better. Now instead of holding or offsides, he sticks his foot out. Too lazy to move. So is Leonard Davis. He holds instead of moving his feet. A good coach doesnt put up with these things.
Phillips is a good defensive coach. We saw the improvement last year as soon as he took over the defensive calls. But he's never been a head coach and will never be one.
He couldnt control TO (cant really fault him on that maybe, no one can. ) He couldnt get the locker room to stay united, and he sure hasnt done Tony Romo any good. Romo has been going downhill since Parcells left.
Special teams has improved but not because of Phillips.
And wishy washy? Phillips invented it. Stop making excuses for your screwed up quarterback, your screwed up team, and your screwed up coaching.

Thats what I am afraid of. He doesnt have the personality to control the team any more than Wade does.

The big rumor out of Colorado is that Mike Shanahan, former coach of the Broncos, will be coach of the Cowboys next season. I don't think that would be a bad move? Any of the Cowboy fans like this possibility?

Better than Phillips or Garrett.
Man, what he could do with our running game. He always managed to get decent running back.
Keep Phillips as DC.
Seemed like he was a decent disciplinarian.

Sounds like a good idea but I don't think he's a yes man and that's the only thing Jerry likes around him.So I don't see it happening.
