Cowboys at Broncos 10/04/09

Dallas Cowboys will travel to the Mile High Stadium to take on the surprisingly 3-0 Denver Broncos.
Dallas defense looked sturdy last week against the Panthers, but the offense still hasn't found its identity Time is running out for them to do so before they fall too far behind. Tony Romo didnt make any stupid mistakes last week, but he didnt throw any td passes either
Broncos caught a lucky win off a lucky bounce against the Bengals, and beat Cleveland and the Raiders. Not too impressive, but it might give them enough confidence to face down Dallas at their own stadium.
Who do you pick for this one?

Why am I not surprised at your pick?

If the offense finds their rhythm, change it around, Cowboys 21, Broncos 10.
If they dont, thats probably a pretty realistic pick on your part for a change.

I think if Big D handled the Carolina ground game they can do the same with the Denver run...i hope to see Felix Jones out there as he is the one game breaker we have...and I am not suprise that Romo without TO is posting less than stellar numbers...Cowboys in a 24-21 squeaker...

Re: Cowboys at Broncos 10/04/09

As a Bronco fan, I am skeptical like many that the Broncos 3-0 start was against less than quality NFL teams. However, the fact of the matter is good teams in the NFL beat the teams they are suppose to. Hey, I know the Broncos beat the Bengals on a fluke pass at the end of the game. This is how many football games are won in the NFL such as Brady's miracle pass to beat Bills a couple weeks ago. How about Favre's miracle pass with no time remaining to beat the 49ers? Luck is either for you or against you.

Cowboys vs Broncos. I know who Bette and my little brother in Waco, TX are rooting for. Hey, I think this is a great test for the Broncos who before the season started didn't think they would win 3 games all year. Broncos defense has only given up 16 points total for entire season up to this point which is amazing. I am so looking forward to this game and if the Broncos QB Orton can not turn the ball over...Broncos have a shot. Go Broncos!

Dallas 22-18. Kyle Orton will go bad and then only get worse while the Cowboys offense struggles as well, they just manage to win.

Re: Cowboys at Broncos 10/04/09

My grandson called me during the second half and said, "Grandma, this game is boring." Right on grandson. It sure was.
Dallas offense is still flat. No tds for Romo, one interception that may or may not have been his fault and a fumble that was.
Sometimes he held the ball too long, sometimes his line didnt do a very good job of protection. At my last count he was sacked 4 times.
Witten was very quiet.
Dallas D was strong until the very end and I suspect they simply ran out of gas.
Penalties galore on both teams. (Someone kick Phillips out the door. This team needs discipline. )
Broncos D showed up to play with Champ Bailey playing like the Bailey of old. For some reason the Cowboys kept challenging him long past the time when it was obvious they should be looking elsewhere.
Broncos' offense played poorly in spite of winning, but it appeared Ortons throwing hand was injured, he was throwing high, wide and past his receivers.
No one on the offensive side of the Dallas team was having fun. I know I sure wasnt.
But----all is not lost yet. Its still early in the season.

I've been saying Wade needs to be moved to defensive coach and a new head coach brought in.

Re: Cowboys at Broncos 10/04/09

The Cowboys were/are a team that would be really good with the right coaching staff. Parcells was able to connect to Romo which of course, helped the team a lot. He helped him put the Seattle mess behind him and improve. If they had a coach that could connect to Owens and make him more of a team player, that would have been great too. Obviously, it is too late for that now. The Cowboys need a coach that can band the team together, Wade is not that coach.

Re: Cowboys at Broncos 10/04/09

wow ..... im not even sure where to start

it was a great game of course ..... as anytime the Cowgirls lose

Romo stinks .... i thought he only choked in big games ..... guess he is just going to avoid the playoffs all together this season instead of being embarrassed during the playoffs again

i thought Wade was a defensive coach ..... is there a reason the Boys were playing touch football at the end ? ..... no one wanted to tackle Marshall when he scored the winning touchdown ... did he have cooties ?

man oh man Dallas sucks

Funny simon. Reaaalllly funny.
I dont think he choked. He's trying not to make those iffy plays anymore. Broncos defense was pretty good. And there simply isnt any spark in that Dallas offense.
Romo is a good quarterback, but he may never be a great quarterback.
I think the Cowboys' defense ran out of steam at Mile High. They were out there just a little too long.
Touch football? Isnt that like what the defenses have to play around Tom Brady so the little feller doesnt get hurt?
Wouldnt doubt it if Marshall had cooties.
