| Changes Coming in the UConn Basketball Roster The changes in the UConn basketball roster that the coach hinted at last week have not occurred yet, but Calhoun said Wednesday that things will likely happen in the next few weeks. "We have talked to two kids about the future, but we're taking a week or two before we make any final decisions," Calhoun said. Though Calhoun has not mentioned any names, the speculation is that forward Curtis Kelly and guard Doug Wiggins are the players likely to transfer. But there could be more than two departures from the team — not counting center Hasheem Thabeet if he opts to enter the NBA draft — this off-season. "Two cases I don't see things changing, and two cases are kind of up in the air," Calhoun said. "But the culture of the team has to change. I keep saying that and I'll continue to say that. Whether it be some present members of the team who have to change themselves or maybe they'd function better some place else. We'll find out." The Huskies have already received commitments for next season from point guard Kemba Walker (New York) and shooting guard Scottie Haralson (Jackson, Miss.), though Haralson has yet to sign a national letter of intent. UConn will welcome a number of players to campus in the next month as it tries to bolster its roster, however. Six-foot-10 forward Ater Majok is tentatively planning to visit UConn April 25. Haralson and 7-1 center Charles Okwandu, a native of Nigeria who is attending Harcum (Pa.) College, are planning to visit April 11. And 6-10 center Jamie Vanderbeken of Ottawa is scheduled to visit April 19. http://www.bigeast.org/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=19400&ATCLID=1311303
