| Huskies upset! The UConn Huskies were stunned today in the NCAA tournament, losing to #13 seed San Diego 70-69 in overtime! According to the Associated Press, "The Huskies (24-9) hadn’t lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament since 1979 and never during Calhoun’s 22 seasons... San Diego, meanwhile, got its first tournament victory in four tries. The Toreros (22-13) advanced to play No. 12 Western Kentucky in the second round." Biggest upset of the tourney so far, no doubt! | Re: Huskies upset! UConn and the entire Big East is way overrated. UConn has 2 players, Adrien and Price, and Price went out with a knee sprain. They have a 7 foot 3 center that can't score if you locked him in the gym overnight and a bunch of athletic dunkers that absolutely cannot shoot. But I still tohught with this much time off between games after losing to West Virginia that they would come out focused and ready. I was wrong.

I dissagree that Big East was overrated. I think they beat each other up so much that it weakened them come tournament time. Big East in Basketball same same as South East Conference football where those teams beat each other up. The only difference is football has a month to rest and heal, basketball has only one week....big difference! Louisville got a rest after loosing the first game in the Big East Tournament. Pitt won the Big East Trnmt and lost in the NCAA Tournament....unrested Georgetown lost to Pitt in the Big East tournament...lost in the NCAA. There needs to be at least a week and a half before the NCAA Tournament is played.
