Huskies vs. Panthers

The Connecticut Huskies have been a bit of surprise so far this season. They're 3-0 and averaging 35 points and over 400 yards per game on offense. This will be their first real test of the year, however. Pitt's a much better team than Duke and Temple, even though the Owls gave UConn all they wanted this past weekend. So will the Huskies be able to go to 4-0, or will Pittsburgh prove to be too much for them?

Re: Huskies vs. Panthers

Guess what? The UConn Huskies are 4-0!

According to the Associated Press, "Connecticut turned two turnovers by ineffective Pitt quarterback Kevan Smith and another by backup Pat Bostick into 17 points and the Huskies remained unbeaten with a surprisingly easy 34-14 victory on Saturday night... Tyler Lorenzen directed two first-half touchdown drives and the Huskies (4-0, 1-0 in Big East) beat Pitt (2-2, 0-1) for the second season in a row and the third time in four seasons since joining the Big East in football. Neither of those previous defeats were this bad for Pitt. The Panthers fell behind 34-7 while being dominated on their home field in a game they were favored to win by more than a touchdown."
