| Report: Legein Quits Hockey Columbus Blue Jackets rookie right wing Stefan Legein has decided to quit hockey, according to a report by the Columbus Dispatch on Tuesday.
The Blue Jackets were informed of Legein’s decision by his agent, Doug Woods, the newspaper reported.
A second-round pick in June’s draft, Legein recorded 24 goals and 13 assists in 30 games with the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League this season.
Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson confirmed the report to the Dispatch but, when contacted by the newspaper, Legein’s mother said she hadn’t heard the news while his father denied the report. “Until September 20 (when training camp opens), he hasn’t quit anything,” Legein’s father said. - sounds like daddy's not letting him quit!! |
