The Syracuse Crunch will never lose (in regulation) again. The Crunch have won 12 straight games after beating Lake Erie 4-2 in a nasty game on Tuesday in Cleveland. That makes Ross Yates' charges 17-0-0-3 in their last 20 and 21-1-0-5 in their last 27. That's sick at any level.
-- C Derrick Brassard has 1-1-2 +2 on Tuesday, but get this: he's got an eight-game point streak working. During that streak -- eight games! -- he has 6-13-19 and is +8.

-- RW Jakub Voracek has 4-11-15 in 10 playoff games for Halifax of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The Mooseheads (great nickname) are up 3-1 on Cape Breton in the second round.
-- RW Stefan Legein has 6-9-15 in eight playoff games for Nigara of the Ontario Hockey League.
-- G Steve Mason is 5-0 with a .946 save percentage, 1.92 goals-against average and one shutout in five playoffs games with Kitchener, also of the OHL. Last Saturday -- get this -- Mason made 62 saves in a three overtime win at Sarnia, 3-2. Including a win Tuesday, he's stopped 114 of the lats 118 shots he's seen. That's .966.
