| Columbus Blue Jackets call Joakim Lindstrom from Syracuse (AHL) The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Joakim Lindstrom from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets General Manager Scott Howson announced March 5. Lindstrom, 24, has two goals and four assists for six points with 10 penalty minutes in 14 games with the Blue Jackets this season. Columbus' second pick, 41st overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft has registered 3-4-7 and 14 penalty minutes in 26 career NHL games. He leads Syracuse in scoring this season with 23-31-54 and 64 penalty minutes in 45 games and has registered 63-90-153 and 150 penalty minutes in 173 career AHL games. The Blue Jackets return to action Friday when they host the Edmonton Oilers. Game time from Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FSN Ohio will begin with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will also broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101. I don't know if this guy is going to exactly put us in the playoffs this year, but it sounds like a step in the right track. |

| Re: Columbus Blue Jackets call Joakim Lindstrom from Syracuse (AHL) Well at first I thought they were bringing him up due to Modin still nursing the groin injury (all year! LOL) But Freddy says he's planning on playing Friday. So maybe just trying to infuse some energy into a stale offense. Usually when those young kids come up they're running on adrenaline the first couple of games so it gets some of the other guys moving their feet (mainly to keep up!) |
