Cool Columbus moves past Toronto ...

25. Columbus (26-38-3; Previous: 23) – Columbus has led or been tied in the third period in each of its last five losses.
26. Toronto Maple Leafs (30-29-6; Previous: 26) – Goalie Mikael Tellqvist is going to get a long look in the season's final 30 days.

In Yahoo Latest Hockey Power Ratings, the Blue Jackets find themselves ahead of Toronto, Phoenix, Washington, Chicago and Pittsburg...we are counting this a moral victory

Hey what can I say...we are reaching here...a few loses in a row (10 out of the last 14) and we have to look for a wacky stat to hang our hat on...I thought this one was a good one...

Re: Columbus moves past Toronto ...

Maybe Columbus should try going into the third down by a goal or two?

Novel idea...I will contact the team today and suggest this radical new approach...I will call it, "Pacing yourself for the first two quarters"...I like it...

Re: Columbus moves past Toronto ...

I was thinking of the recent biopic "Seabiscuit" where the horse always performed better when he wasn't out in front. Perhaps the BJ's would react the same? You never know...
