| Re: Columbus Blue Jackets Win...Nikolai Zherdev Hot! The Future is Gilbert Brule! He scored two goals in seven games early in the season before returning to the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. In 22 games, he has 18 goals and 39 points. He's a smallish (5-10 175) playmaking center who will blend well with the likes of Nash and Zherdev. Bandwagon....all aboard!! |

| ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) –3/5/06 The Columbus Blue Jackets are big fans of the new NHL shootout. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks are not. Rick Nash scored the only goal of the shootout, and the Blue Jackets ended a four-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Ducks on Sunday. Nash initially stumbled with the puck as he approached the Anaheim goal, but recovered to beat Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere with a backhander on the third Columbus shot of the tiebreaker. Blue Jackets goalie Pascal Leclaire then stopped Teemu Selanne on the final Anaheim shot to help Columbus improve to 7-2 in shootouts and 11-2 overall in overtime. The Ducks are having considerably less success after regulation, dropping to 2-7 in shootouts and 3-12 in overtime. “It was definitely a lucky goal," Nash said. "I came down and had a different move in mind, but he took that away. I had to adjust, and lost my balance. Lucky enough I stayed up and put it in." The Blue Jackets had lost four straight, including the first three games on a four-game road trip that ended Sunday. Now see there Boys and Girls...we start backing the Team on this site and they start to turn it around...yeah, its one game...one game...but you gotta believe baby!...and how about the modesty on this team huh?...Rick Nash calls it a "Lucky goal"...isn't that what we are wanting in a player?...When was the last time you saw modesty on the ice?...Go Blue Jackets! |
