So this is the follow up to a 5-4 OT win...a lackluster 4-1 loss to the Wings...Jackets were outshot 37-17...and did their big guys beat us?...nope...Dan Cleary beats us with two goals...

Columbus didn't register its first shot until 11:03 elapsed.

But, but...but we did get us a power play goal...after that horrible 1 out of 25 streak...at least we got that going for us...

Yes, we don't seem to have a noble prize candidate....I think we are down to hit the puck towards the net...block in coming shot.

I wonder if they are over thinking the power plays?...they have decent scorers...so they got to be trying too many passes or trying to out think the defense...

So yes KISS approach will do.

The BLue jackets do tend to get a little too cute and dont put shots on the net when they should. I remember going to some games last year and it seemed as though they refused to shoot the puck from the point....the entire game they would try to move it down low....they need to realize a shot on goal is GOOD even if it doesnt go in...rebounds, face-offs inside the zone, keeping pressure on the goalie, that kinda stuff is inportant...hopefully the Nash-Zherdev line will kick it up a notch and Federov can turn it on because we need it

Yeah, cute is darcy tucker.
There was the same problem with the Leafs, when they wouldn't shoot every chance they get. You got to get it in and pepper the goalie.
but then, those pretty goals - or even just attempts at goals - where it isn't just some slapshot from the blue line, it's a tricky deak (unsure of spelling) - i love those.

I believe it is deke, but anyway those are exciting goals...but the Jackets just arent playing the kind of hockey they are capable of and it upsets me as a Jackets fan...I still believe we can go to the playoffs this year we just need to play to our potential...gettin those shots on net are truly important...just looking at my college's hockey team the Clarkson Golden Knights we are ranked 12th in the nation we have outshot our opponent in every win so far and our one loss was out of conference and guess what? we were outshot! its simple hockey and easy to get going, come on CBJ lets turn it around
