The last of the fireworks fizzled out over the weekend, but the Rockies and Nationals electrified the crowd with an old-school pitching duel Monday night as Colorado claimed victory in just the eighth 1-0 game in Coors Field history.
Not that Jason Marquis needed it as he recorded his best-in-baseball 11th win, but the game served as an exclamation point after his All-Star selection Sunday. The veteran right-hander tossed eight shutout innings, extending his scoreless streak to 17 frames. That stretch includes a complete-game victory over the Dodgers.

I am a little late commenting on this but that was a great win for the Rockies back then and was so impressed the week before how Marquee totally shut down the Dodgers. Not many pitchers this season had pitched so well against them.
