| Re: Rockies active Hernandez, dump Wells I don't thnk Hernandez is a very good acquisition and now Todd Helton is now on the 60 day DL list is good news for the Rockies since he is making 16 million a year. He was not having a good year anyways before he got hurt. I wish they would get rid of him by trade! Here is an article that relates to this thread: Rockies put Helton on 60-day DL August 10, 2008 - 5:48PM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS DENVER - The Colorado Rockies have transferred first baseman Todd Helton to the 60-day disabled list, more than a month after the slugger was put on the 15-day disabled list. The last time Helton played was July 2 against San Diego, two days before he was first put on the disabled list with a strained lower back. The Rockies announced Helton's transfer to the 60-day list on Sunday. The 34-year-old entered the season with a .332 batting average but was hitting just .266 with seven homers at the time of his injury.
