The Colorado Rockies appear to be discussing possible trades involving P Brian Fuentes. But the price for the relief pitcher appears to be rather steep. According to Yahoo! Sports, "the Rockies are looking for a premium starting pitcher in return. A Rockies source told the Denver Post that Colorado was asking for Clay Buchholz from the Red Sox or Ian Kennedy from the Yankees." Tampa Bay has also been discussed as a possible decision.

Great post Chuck and the trading deadline is fastly approaching. Fuentes was interviewed after his 16th save last night whether or not he expects to be in a Rocky uniform after the trade deadline. His response was, "Yes, I fully expect to remain in a Rocky uniform."

The players I heard on the Dino Costa Show (Rockies insider) that are strongly talked about are Willie Taveras and/or Garette Atkins (contracts up). I personally don't think they are going to trade anybody because they are not getting offered so far what they want.
